Before you connect
Google will warn you. That’s expected.
We haven’t been through Google’s optional verification review, so it warns everyone who connects. Getting past it takes about fifteen seconds.
Use your business email if you have one — a Google Workspace account on your own domain (you@yourcompany.com). That is the mailbox you almost certainly want connected, and it is the only kind an administrator can approve for everyone at once. A personal @gmail.com does work too — you will just take the one-click route below instead.
Getting past the warning
This app is requesting access to sensitive info in your Google Account. Until the developer (Emerson North Portal) verifies this app with Google, you shouldn’t use it.
Emerson North Portal has not completed Google’s verification process.
Go to Emerson North Portal (unsafe)2- Click Advanced, the small link under the warning. The panel opens in place.
- Click Go to Emerson North Portal (unsafe), then approve the permissions. “Unsafe” is Google’s standard label for any unreviewed app — it isn’t a finding about this one.
What you’re approving
- Gmail — read, send and organize. So your dashboard can show and summarize what’s there, reply on your behalf, and file messages. Permanently erasing mail is not included; we don’t ask Google for it.
- Calendar — see and edit events. So your schedule shows up, and meetings can be booked without the back-and-forth.
- Contacts — see them, never change them. So the people you already know arrive in your dashboard with their names.
- Google Meet transcripts and recordings — read only. So a past meeting shows what was said and what was promised. Drive access is limited to the files Meet itself created; the rest of your Drive is not reachable.
- Your email address. So the connection is labelled with the right account. If you’re signed into several, check the account picker carefully — connecting the wrong one is the most common mistake here, and it is the mailbox this dashboard will read and send from.
Are you a Google Workspace admin?Approve us once and nobody at your company sees this warning again. Required outright if your domain only allows pre-approved apps.

If the connection fails, the finishing page names the reason and nothing is saved — retry from your original link, and if it fails again send whoever gave you that link the exact words the page showed you.
